Class Dojo/Behavior Color Chart
This year we will be using Class Dojo to track your child's behavior in the classroom only. Class Dojo is a digital platform for tracking positive and negative behavior. While Class Dojo is digital and provides real time feedback, points will not be visible online. Your child will track behavior in the classroom using a colorful behavior chart. Using clips, students will clip up and down based on behavior and these will transfer to Dojo where we will be able to provide feedback during conferences. Nervous about the clip chart? Don't be! We LOVE to clip students up. Using the clip chart provides our visual learners with much needed awareness about behavior. We would like to keep focus on behavior in the classroom and communicate behavior needs on an as needed basis. We DO encourage all parents to sign up for Class Dojo if not previously done. Class Dojo also provides parents with "texting" capabilities with all teachers linked to your child's account. Please keep in mind that Class Dojo "texting" should NOT contain sensitive information. Please refer to email for these type of messages. We should also note that we keep quiet hours on Class Dojo "texting" from the hours of 7:00pm to 7:00am. Class story also provides a feed to post classroom photographs and classroom happenings. Loss of Dojos translates to the following consequences below. While Class Dojo is digital, positive points earned will translate to Dojo bucks, which your child will use for shopping in our classroom Dojo store.
>> Pink = Super Student!
>> Purple = Great Job!
>> Blue = Doing Good!
>> Yellow = Warning
>> Orange = 5 minutes off recess
>> Red = loss of next recess
>> below = adult contacted

Social Media Special Request
Do you love social media as much as we do? Like most, we love checking in on our friends and family on popular sites. Some parents may even be connected with us on these sites! We would however, like to request, any information concerning school related questions and concerns be directed to our work email. This is also the most direct way for us to get important information quickly, especially during the school day. If using Class Dojo to contact us, please keep in mind, we reserve quiet hours from 7:00pm to 7:00am as stated above.
